Azimut’s versatile sports cruiser collection, the high-performing Atlantis, has added the largest model ever to this line: the Azimut Atlantis 43. Sporting the brand’s trademark sleek lines, classic shapes and luxurious Italian touches, the new model is proof that Azimut can indeed innovate without losing sight of its historical roots.
Priced at 18.9 million Baht, one of the most remarkable (yet intangible) features is the amount of natural light the cabins and deck of the Azimut 43 receive. It’s all to do with the adaptable, versatile design layout of the sports cruiser.
The Azimut Atlantis 43 is typical of Italian ingenuity, which, while luxurious, emphasises design more than outright extravagance. Sun worshippers can lie on two large three-person sunpads, one to the stern and one to the bow. And of course, if they tire of the elements, they can rest at the large dining table, c-shaped sofa, or kitchen area. The saloon on deck too is spacious enough to accommodate an external galley, sink, barbecue and fridge; a wrap-around dining area can seat at least half a dozen. The transformable forward-and-backward-facing seating next to the pilot answers to the needs of clients – credit goes to Azimut’s adaptive and responsive design team, no doubt.
Ease below deck and luxuriate in the boat owner suite. The master bed is nearly two metres long and approximately 1.5 metres wide. It is spacious and light, thanks to its full height and plenty of natural light streaming in from the hatch and expansive picture windows along the side – no more grazed knuckles or crouching whilst doing simple tasks like dressing.
The added convenience of an en suite bathroom (with a separate shower stall) is also an unexpected luxury for a boat this size. Moreover, the generous stowage space for luggage and equipment is a boon to owners: two closets, two sets of wall cabinets, and a big compartment (revealed by tilting the bed, assisted by gas-powered hydraulics).
Stroll to amidship and enter the living and kitchen zones – the heart of leisurely cruises. A second onboard bathroom (also with a separate shower stall) is available for guests and visitors, and can be utilised as both a day washroom as well as a dedicated guest bathroom at night. A dinette is paired with an adjustable height table, which also converts into a double bed. As a result, altogether, the boat comfortably berths a generous seven.
Naturally, the interior is offered with designer fabrics from Italian luxury clothing brands Missoni and Loro Piana, renowned for their gorgeous home textiles and meticulously spun and woven fabrics. Powered by two V400 HP Z-drive Volvo Penta D6 stern engines, the Azimut Atlantis reaches a maximum speed of around 33 knots.
Even with remarkable exteriors and outdoor spaces, Azimut did not compromise on its interior layout, which it well could have whilst still passing the bar. Instead, its combination of versatility and adaptability, especially for a sports cruiser of this size and speed, is sure to be irresistible for yachters looking for a fun and functional experience.
