WongPartnership deputy managing partner and senior counsel Tan hit the headlines last year with his defence of Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) chief Ng Boon Gay. Ng has been charged with obtaining sexual gratification from IT sales executive Cecilia Sue in exchange for furthering her employers' business interests. Tan joined WongPartnership in 2007 after 14 years with Harry Elias Partnership. Having spent the early years of his career as a civil engineer, he has special interest and expertise in construction disputes, and has acted for major construction firms and developers on projects in Singapore and Vietnam. Tan was recognised by Expert Guides' Best of the Best 2012 as one of the top 30 construction lawyers globally.
