Formerly managing director for Microsoft Singapore, Tan was last year promoted to helm the company's Enterprise business in Asia Pacific. Under her leadership, the Singapore business doubled in revenue terms in the last four years despite the maturity of the market and competitive nature of the business. In her new role, Tan spearheads the division's growth in the 12 Asian markets. According to Microsoft, the enterprise business has potential to grow 15% year-on-year over the next three years. This will be Tan's second stint in the regional role after nine years at Microsoft. Under her leadership, Microsoft increased investments in Singapore through the Microsoft Technology Centre, the Singapore data centre, BizSpark for start-ups, DreamSpark for students, new pedagogical initiatives in Singapore schools, the Microsoft Unlimited Potential Scholarships as well as community training for seniors and people with disabilities.
