British luxury car designer and manufacturer Bentley, a subsidiary of Volkswagen AG, still largely builds its cars as it did in 1919, when W.O. Bentley founded the company – by hand. This is just one reason the brand remains a luxury automobile icon the world over. The Crewe-based maker of grand touring cars such as the Continental Flying Spur and Continental GT also has a rich tradition of racing, with multiple victories at 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance motoring race. Technological and stylistic advancements have seen the company cross the 10,000 mark in deliveries in recent years, further establishing Bentley’s place in the luxury automobile market.
