Stellar at 1-Altitude presents Nagasaki produce

Executive Chef Christopher Millar incorporates delicacies from the western Japanese prefecture in his menu.

Christopher Millar cooked in Japan last year and his first experience working with produce from Nagasaki so moved him that he has now brought the local ingredients to Stellar at 1-Altitude for a week-long showcase on the Antipodes Menu, introducing the best of what the prefecture has to offer worked into the executive chef’s progressive Australian dishes.

Highlights of the eight-course “Treasures of Nagasaki” include the Nagasaki madai sashimi, uni with liquid mango, foie gras with Nagasaki strawberry, and the pièce de résistance, Nagasaki wagyu beef, served with red potato and foie gras snow. Sake pairings are available (Ed: encouraged), so pick from a selection hailing from the prefecture’s Omoya and Fukuda breweries.

Available for dinner until January 22.
