Upcoming festivals to feast at

Wine and dine to your heart’s content this month.

RWS Street Eats

The inaugural nine-day fiesta brings 20 street food stalls from across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam to Resorts World Sentosa‘s Malaysian Food Street. Now you won’t have to ‘chop passport’ to eat Sempalit curry chicken from Restoran Damodaran Nair in Pahang, Penang Lim Brothers’ char koay teow (above), pho bo from Nhā Hāng Viet in Ho Chi Minh City, or papaya salad from Foon Ta Lop in Bangkok’s Chatuchak Market, with each dish priced between $4 and $8. The 2,400sq-m pop-up event also includes a beer garden, booths such as Durian 36 and Four Seasons Durians, and live music performances.

August 12–20

Epicurean Market

The fifth edition of Marina Bay Sands‘ signature culinary festival celebrates the feat by taking inspiration from local flavours. The new Singapore Street Food experience, presented by MBS’s international buffet restaurant Rise, will be held in a traditional two-storey shophouse and showcase iconic Singaporean dishes such as Teochew png kueh, roti prata, and rendang pipi daging (braised Wagyu beef cheek and turmeric ginger rice). The Kampung Bar presents cocktails infused with chili, lemongrass, pandan and other indigenous ingredients. And creations by celebrity chef restaurants remain a fixture — CUT by Wolfgang Puck, Adrift by David Myers, Waku Ghin by Tetsuya Wakuda and more will take part alongside new entrants, Japanese ramen restaurant chain Ippudo and restaurant–lounge bar–nightclub Lavo.

August 11–13

Beerfest Asia

More than 500 beers and ciders will be present at the 8,000sq-ft space at Marina Bay Cruise Centre, including more than 100 new beer labels making their debut at the ninth edition of the festival, but start by lining your stomach with food from vendors including Handlebar Singapore, Kontiki and Little Part 1 Cafe. The festival will run daily workshops on beer appreciation and home-brewing techniques, offer an entertainment line-up that includes more than 30 live acts, and feature Singapore’s largest outdoor beer yoga session.
