Third Time’s The Charm: The Singapore Michelin Guide 2018

The Singapore Michelin Guide 2018 welcomes five new one-star recipients, including Burnt Ends, but unfortunately, the third edition failed to produce a single restaurant awarded with three Michelin stars.

This evening, the Singapore Michelin Guide 2018 officially revealed its third-annual star ratings for Singapore, adding new eateries to the constellation of local culinary champions.

While it’s been sadly proven that a star (or three) does not guarantee success, as seen by the high-profile closure of three Michelin-starred Restaurant Joël Robuchon, this year’s ceremony held at Resorts World Sentosa (ironically, where the famed French chef’s namesake outpost used to operate) still garnered much fanfare and pride, with a total of five new one-star recipients added to the Singapore Michelin Guide 2018.

However, the third edition of the Singapore Michelin Guide failed to produce a single restaurant awarded with three Michelin stars. Celebrity-chef-and-restaurateur Scott Webster’s Osia was omitted from the list of winners this year too. Still, the number of recipients increased by one from last year to peak at 39. Here they are:
