Corum’s Mini Bubble Makes Its Debut

The Swiss watch manufacture’s iconic Bubble receives a mini upgrade.

It was in the year 2000 when Corum, a Swiss watchmaker based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, introduced the very first Bubble watch at Baselworld. Measuring at a hefty 44mm wide, the original became an instant hit resulting from it’s unique sapphire crystal. Shaped like a dome, the design of the crystal functions like a magnifying glass by distorting the dial while  simultaneously adding a sense of depth when viewed from above.

It has been eighteen years since the Bubble made its grand debut and Corum has now returned with a brand new mini version of this timekeeping wonder. Specially designed for feminine wrists, the Mini Bubble features a round stainless steel case measuring a petite 17mm paired with a slim strap in luxurious alligator leather. Housed inside this mini case is the Calibre CO137 quartz movement while a bubble-shaped crown with rubber grip towards 3 o’clock enables the wearer to adjust the time with relative ease.
