6 new yachts to sail into Singapore

Ahead of the Singapore Yacht Show happening tomorrow, here are some of the latest vessels to hit local shores.

1. Boston Whaler 370 Outrage

Designed for both cruising and fishing, the 37-ft boat is able to accommodate up to 16 people on board, which makes it a great family cruiser. Touted as the largest boat by American shipbuilder Boston Whaler in its 50-year history, the 370 has also been rendered unsinkable, thanks to a foam cross section at the lower deck that extends to the top of the hull. The vessel also comes equipped with a slew of smart angling features such as a standard 55-gallon and 24-gallon livewells, with five in-deck fishboxes ready to store the day’s catch.

2. Cranchi Z35

Making its Asia debut, the Cranchi Z35 is an open sportscruiser fitted with a sun-soaked cockpit, a pair of 260hp Volvo Penta D4s engines and two spacious cabins. On water, the boat tops out at 34 knots and features triple-fender baskets built into the railings on either side of the foredeck. The lower deck of the boat is where the cabins are and they’ve been designed to be spacious enough to host six adults.

3. Ferretti 450

The Ferretti 450 is one of two new introductions by the Italian shipbuilder, with this boat making its Asia-Pacific launch. Featuring sleek and dynamic lines, the 45-footer embodies a sporty design and is fitted with three decks to sleep up to six people. The main deck comes with a stern swimming platform with a tender lift that can be used as a beach club. Thanks to the flybridge and sun deck, guests on board can bask in the large amount of space for relaxing and soaking up the sun. And a bonus? It’s the only yacht able to enter the private berth in Sentosa Cove.

4. Ferretti 700

This medium-sized flybridge vessel is the second model from Ferretti that is making its debut in Southeast Asia. Its slender yet aggressive profile makes this one that marries sportiness and luxury in one, while boasting a number of innovations that’s great to entertain guests. One includes the swimming platform with an integrated tender lift, which provides a large underwater bathing area and allows guests to get in and out of the water. The Ferretti 700 comes in three- and four-cabin versions, and is able to hit a top speed of 28.5 knots.

5. Pershing 5X

A coupe that boasts ultra sporty lines that give it a fighter jet profile on water, the Pershing 5X is one that delivers performance on the water. Choose from two different engine and transmission options that will allow you to either speed off on the water at 36 knots or 45 knots. And if you so desire, request for the installation of a joystick for better manoevrability on the water. Other than its robust performance, the 54-footer is also designed for families, with its large sundeck that comes with a partition to ensure maximum safety for when children are on board.

6. Princess S60

The new S60 by Princess Yachts will be making its on-water debut at the Singapore Yacht Show. Sporting a sleek and agile stance thanks to its sculpted hull glazing, the vessel marries both power and elegance in its design. It is equipped to reach speeds of up to 38 knots, while its spacious deck area proves to be great for relaxation and sunbathing. The main deck has been designed with an alfresco dining area, while its lower deck is able to fit up to six guests in its master stateroom and two guest cabins.
