MELISSA ERIN DOYLE, 12
An advocate of animal rights, the daughter of banker John Doyle and Mariam Doyle once rejected her mother’s offer to buy a leather jacket in favour of a faux one. She also names wolves and dogs as her favourite animals and loves a good game of basketball and touch football.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
A veterinarian and an animal rescuer because I love animals.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
The ability to fly so that I can save every animal in the world, no matter where they are.
Which three words describe you best?
Happy, because I don’t like to get mad. Loving, because I love a lot of things, like animals. And wolf, because my friends call me that. And also because I love them and think that they are majestic creatures.
If you could be anyone in the world for one day, who would you be and why?
Bill Gates because he has a lot of money. I would use it to buy land and save all the animals that are sick, injured or about to be killed.
If you could time-travel, where would you go?
To the beginning of mankind and tell them not to cut down forests, harm animals or pollute the environment, like we are doing now.
Name one thing that scares you.
Spiders and other insects because they are creepy.
What makes you happy?
Being around family, friends and of course, animals. Playing basketball and drawing canines, especially wolves.
Will you get married? If yes, do you already know to whom?
Yes, I would but I’m still waiting for a miracle.
What’s the toughest thing about being a kid?
What is the coolest thing about your mum and dad?
My dad still plays basketball at his age and my mum always makes jokes that make everyone laugh. Even my friends think my mum is cool.
