Quatre collection, high jewellery on display at Boucheron exhibition

Outstanding pieces to be featured on July 22–31 at Ngee Ann City.

Held to celebrate the opening of Boucheron’s boutique in Takashimaya, its second store in Singapore after its Marina Bay Sands location, the Maison’s exhibition will run from July 22 to 31 at the level 1 atrium of Ngee Ann City.

Besides showcasing the brand’s 158-year heritage through museum exhibits and specially curated haute joaillerie pieces flown in for display, other highlights of the exhibition are jewels from Boucheron’s Quatre collection, whose latest edition, Radiant, features a monochrome version of the Quatre ring in rose, yellow and white gold, available in thinner models.

The Quatre collection is named after the four shades of gold bearing motifs frequently seen in the Maison’s designs — the double gadroon, the Clous de Paris, diamonds and the grosgrain. It was launched in 2004 and has seen revisions in subsequent years that added necklaces, pendants, earrings and bracelets in a variety of finishes.

In particular, pieces in the Quatre collection are made of four individual rings joined together based on the cheminée technique — the rings are not soldered, and those in the middle are held in place by the pressure from the ones on the outside.
