The Burberry and Vivienne Westwood collection has landed

This special capsule collection by Burberry’s chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci and legendary fashion titan Vivienne Westwood is only available in selected Burberry stores around the world.

When Burberry and Vivienne Westwood – two of the most lauded British fashion labels – come together, expect nothing less that a spectacular collab.

Drawing inspirations from some of Westwood’s most memorable collections such as the Autumn/Winter 1992 Always on Camera show as well as the Spring/ Summer 1994 Café Society runway presentation, iconic items – from classic double-breasted jackets to a hugger jacket and a mini kilt to lace up platforms and a beret – are all reimagined in Burberry’s classic vintage checked print.

Tisci says in an official statement: “Vivienne Westwood was one of the first designers who made me dream to become a designer myself and when I first started at Burberry, I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to approach her to do something. She is a rebel, a punk and unrivalled in her unique representation of British style, which has inspired so many of us. I am so incredibly proud of what we will be creating together.”

That’s not all. The oversized T-shirt with a special handwritten message by Westwood  in this limited-edition collection is specially dedicated to Cool Earth charity, a UK-based non profit organisation that works alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation as well as effect change and impact on climate issues. Westwood will also customise four exclusive items from this collection to be auctioned to raise further support for Cool Earth.
