2019 collection statement bags that speak for every occasion

Not a fan of awkward conversation? Let your bag do the talking.

If you’re looking for pretty new things to add to your wardrobe (aren’t you always?), we highly recommend getting your hands on these handbags – pun intended. We’ve selected an assortment of bags fresh of 2019 collections:

Your next vacation: Bottega Veneta Maxi Cabat

Very Asian-inspired with its woven design, the Maxi Cabat comes in all sorts of bright colours plus a neutral pallet of browns with the Nero Soft Crocodile and Matte Calf models. There’s also smaller version called the Maxi Cabat 30 that comes with a removable shoulder strap. True craftsmanship is what makes the Cabat. The thin strips of double-faced leather, called ‘fettucce’ are woven completely by hand, holding together twenty nappa strips and taking approximately two full working days to complete.

A fun night out: Gucci GG Marmont in Metallics

This bag has some serious disco diva vibes! The GG Marmont is one of the classics reimagined for the holidays, as part of the Cruise 2019 collection. It comes in a rounded or squared mini shoulder style in bright metallics; gold and pink, as well as a trio of fuchsia, red and pink. Both styles and colours feature a leather should strap incorporating a gold chain.

The everyday bag: Fendi Peekaboo X-Lite

Fendi’s iconic Peekaboo just had the best makeover — presenting the Peekaboo X-Lite which comes in a regular silhouette and the XS with a strap embellished with a chain detail. These bags are part of the Resort 2019 collection which plays on the dialogue between femininity and masculinity. The new Peekaboo is a deconstructed version of the original, by forgoing its central frame, the bag is much, much lighter.

Your personal shopper: Coach The Viper Room Canvas Tote

It’s not exactly the bag to pack groceries in, but it makes for a nice shopping companion. The Viper Room Capsule is Coach’s Pre-Spring 2019 Collection, an ode to the legendary bar partly owned by Johnny Deep and is considered to be a historical landmark in West Hollywood. The canvas totes come in black and pink, decked with motifs inspired by The Viper room and Wild Beast prints. Each tote also has a cute little leather hangtag.

The brunch bag: Dior Saddle

If you have to pick just one bag from the Dior 2019 collection, how about the 90s comeback Saddle bag? Chances are, you’ve sold your old one off! The Saddle comes in an array of designs, some bearing the classic interlocking ‘D’ motif and others featuring some beautiful embroidery. With the addition of a long strap to modernise the design, the Saddle is a true showstopper.
