Celebrated jeweller Mouawad has always been known for its collection of coloured gemstones and brilliant diamonds. To showcase its latest range of jewellery embellished with them, its managing director Jean Nasr hosted a dinner at Villa Halia at the Botanic Gardens. Especially for the event, the jeweller flew in a wide collection of pieces that sported stones such as rubellite, kunzite and Paraiba tourmaline. One particular piece that garnered a lot of attention that evening was a pear-shaped 32-carat tanzanite which had been made into a ring. The intimate affair kick started with a short speech by Nasr, who accompanied by his daughter Jessica, mingled with guests throughout the night, regaling them with stories of the collection and his love for all things shiny.
