Burberry X Prestige

Guests took delight in the new shop-the-show concept by the British luxury house.

It may not have been Makers House in Soho but the exclusive event for Prestige guests at Burberry’s ION Orchard boutique was no less a celebration of The September Show — the milestone presentation by CEO and Chief Creative Christopher Bailey, which ushered in a new shop-the-show concept for the Brit luxury house. After the screening of the runway presentation and a warm welcome by Kathleen Wong, general manager of Southeast Asia, guests were immediately able to try on the looks inspired by Virginia Woolf’s novel Orlando and Nancy Lancaster’s interior and garden designs. While the militia-style jackets of the season were a clear favourite, a lot of attention also went to the brand’s monogram service and signature trench coats, as an artisan had flown in especially to demonstrate the trench’s many hand-sewn elements.
