WAH Foundation hosts Carli Bybel

Founder of the NGO, Christopher Wilson, threw a party at home for the beauty influencer

It was a fun casual affair when Christopher Wilson, founder of WAH Foundation, and his wife Tan Su Shan hosted technopreneurs, new media specialists and society friends at their Bukit Timah home to welcome New York-based beauty influencer Carli Bybel to Singapore. The global ambassador for the foundation had just flown in from Cambodia’s Kampong Chhnang province where she had presented a US$100,000 cheque — raised in just three days from the sale of charity bracelets through her brand, Pravana Beauty — to recipients of the Carli Bybel Scholarship administered through WAH. While the idea for the evening was to facilitate meaningful conversations between guests, it didn’t take much convincing to get one of the invitees, respected Japanese mezzo soprano Seia Lee, to agree to a live performance of “Ave Maria”, with Su Shan accompanying on piano.
