Naeem Khan’s SGFW Meet-and-Greet

Spring came early to the National Kitchen when Michelle Obama-favourite Naeem Khan met with Singapore Fashion Week patrons.

After sending effervescent models down the runway in his 1970s Halston-inspired Spring 2017 collection, Indian-American designer and Flotus favourite Naeem Khan emerged from backstage for an after-show meet-and-greet with Singapore Fashion Week patrons. Accompanied by a trio of models, each in his scallop-fringed dresses, Khan good-naturedly posed for photos with fashion insiders on the portico of the National Gallery. Singapore-style supper at the Peranakan-meets-Art Deco-styled National Kitchen was next on the cards. Over restaurant signatures such as dry laksa, Buah Keulak Crostini and Kueh Pie Tee, he had intimate tête-à-têtes with the likes of fashion week chairman Tjin Lee, Council of Fashion Designers of America VP Adam Roth and Crystal Wagar, wife of the US Ambassador to Singapore.
