Kidz Horizon Appeal’s charity gala

The 12th gala edition saw society members all decked out in pirate wear for a good cause.

Villains o’ th’ high seas (or rather, society friends in disguise) banded together at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore for The Buccaneers Ball, the 12th gala dinner organised by the Kidz Horizon Appeal to benefit children with cancer and chronic illnesses. Members of society, together with guest of honour Tan Chuan-Jin, minister for Social and Family Development, had a jolly good time over fine grog, with the event raising a total of $952,000 for the KKH Health Endowment Fund. This included contributions through a charity auction, in which the crown jewel was a one-off Voutilainen GMT-6 in titanium specially made for Kidz Horizon. One of the generous guests made off with it for $126,000.
