Maserati changes hands in Singapore

Tridente Automobili has taken over the local distribution rights of the Italian carmaker.

It celebrated the opening of a brand new showroom on Friday. And with that, Maserati marked the appointment of a new authorised importer and distributor in Singapore. Now, the Italian car marque will be under the distributorship of Tridente Automobili.

Previously under Hong Seh Motors, Tridente (pronounced tree-dent-tay), a subsidiary of Komoco Holdings, will now take over the distribution rights for the brand, starting first with launching a new showroom and service centre at 30 Leng Kee Road, beside the current Ferrari dealership.

The new space includes 7,000sq-ft dedicated to the showroom. It sports a clean, modern look with touches of blue and grey, and decked with top-of-the-range Italian furniture from Poltrona Frau. The latest MY2017 range of Maseratis, which includes the flagship Quattroporte sedan, Ghibli compact sedan and Levante SUV, will be on display in the space.

Furthermore, a workshop area of 14,000sq-ft has also been set aside for integrated sales and after-sales service to owners, offered for the first time in Singapore. The workshop will be equipped to accommodate up to 20 cars with a total of 18 work bays when at full capacity.
