Maserati celebrates the Quattroporte

December will see the Italian automaker pay tribute to the luxury sports sedan with an exhibition in Singapore this month.

It’s the festive season so it’s time to celebrate the spirit of giving. And for Maserati, there’s one more thing to celebrate — the Quattroporte.
In a bid to tell the story of Maserati’s much loved sedan, Hong Seh Motors, the exclusive importer for Maserati in Singapore, is hosting an exhibition at its showroom. The exhibition, titled More than 50 Years of Success — Evolution of a Luxury Sedan, will open December 1, 2015, showcasing how the Quattroporte has evolved over the last five decades.
Launched in 1963, the Maserati Quattroporte was designed by Pietro Frua, one of most renowned Italian coach builders and car designers in the 1950s and 1960s. Frau, in designing this car, took inspiration from a special Maserati 5000 GT that he designed for Geneva-born royalty and business magnate Prince Karim Aga Khan. When it was finally released to the public at the Turin Motor Show, it quickly earned a name for itself as “the world’s fastest sedan”.
To further add to the excitement, December 1 also happens to be the day that the Maserati founders opened its first factory in Bologna, Italy. The facility was later relocated to its current site in Viale Ciro Menotti, Modena in 1940.
“The Maserati brand story is one of resilience, hopes, dreams and success,” says Edward Tan, executive director of Hong Seh Motors. “We hope this exhibition will provide a platform for more members of the public to discover the rich history and embark on their own pursuit of a Maserati journey in time to come.”
Maserati’s More Than 50 Years of Success – Evolution of a Luxury Sedan exhibition runs from December 1-30, 2015 from 10am to 6:30pm from Mondays to Sundays at 19 Leng Kee Road
