Whether or not you’re a motor head or a fan of the Transformers movie series, you’ll definitely appreciate the hot wheels on the silver screens.
And for this month, as the fifth instalment of the blockbuster hits global cinemas, we’re also ready for the appearance of the Lamborghini Centenario coupe.
Starring as a transformer named Hot Rod, the €1.75 million supercar made its appearance on the red carpet for the London premiere of Transformers: The Last Knight, which is hitting theatres worldwide on June 21.
The Centenario was a special commemorative model designed to pay tribute the 100th anniversary of the birth of founder Ferruccio Lamborghini, a man who made the automaker into a world-class brand and who always believed that nothing is impossible. Conceived with the purpose of exploring new technological and design opportunities, the Lamborghini Centenario represents a new, extremely precious piece in the brand’s one-off strategy.
Built on a carbon fibre monocoque frame with a carbon fibre bodywork, the car is fitted with a robust V12 engine that delivers 770bhp that accelerates from zero to 100km/h in under three seconds, clocking a top speed of more than 350km/h. And of course, being such a wonderful engineering work of art, the car is only available in 20 pieces.
So fans of the Raging Bull and car aficionados, catch this super ride turning into transformer. And fingers crossed, we won’t have to endure this beauty in any car crashes or explosions.
