The All-New Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Supercar Revealed

The spectacular new Super GT is the third model in the British marque’s much-hyped Second Century plan, which calls for seven new cars in seven years.

The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera, with its immaculate style and engineering, is a true thoroughbred that marks the revival of an iconic nameplate that first appeared in 1967 with Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring’s famous mark: Superleggera – once again adorning the bonnet of the Aston Martin flagship. Borne of a collaboration that paved the way for the DB4, 5 and 6 Mark 1, the new Aston Martin DBS Superleggera was unveiled for the first time in Singapore last week.

The new DBS Superleggera’s head-turning curves are clad in immaculately sculpted carbon fibre body panels with advanced aerodynamics for a sleek shape that lends the machinery a muscular, highly individual styling. To match performance with the machinery’s impressive physique is the Aston Martin’s 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12, tuned to produce tremendous power and immense torque for breath-taking response and extraordinary in-gear performance.

With 900Nm of torque, a top speed of 340km/h, and lighting fast acceleration that dispatches 0-100km/h in a mere 3.4 seconds, the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is a car that is dedicated to delivering an unforgettable driving experience. The combination of generous portions of aggression and athleticism displayed through aerodynamics concepts such as its Curlicue and Aeroblade, the DBS Superleggera expresses itself with an unmistakeable design language, one that still uses compelling curves for a sleek shape that can also cheat the wind and generate enough downforce for unerring grip on the road.
