1. Water toys
U Boat Worx returns this year with its C-Explorer 3 personal submarine. This three-person underwater vehicle is equipped to carry passengers to a depth of 1,000m in a fully air-conditioned and spacious interior, where passengers can enjoy an unobstructed 360-degree view under the sea in unparalleled comfort and manoeuvrability. Quadrofoil will also be making its Asian debut with its eco-friendly jet ski, raised on four hydrofoils that rapidly slices through the water. Additionally, this year’s show will feature a Demonstration Platform, where the latest in water toys will be showcased, including fly-boards, kayaks, the Seabob, Lampuga and Hoverboards.
2. New yachts
Fraser Yachts will be presenting the 50m Sensation. Gracing Singapore waters for the first time, the superyacht boasts five well-appointed staterooms with ample accommodation for up to 12 guests. Sunreef will introduce the Sunreef Supreme 68 line of yachts and superyachts in a global premiere at this year’s show.
3. Revered favourites
The impressive 43m superyacht Triple 8, built by Royal Denship in 2009 will be presented for sale by Fraser Yachts, while Benetti will also present the majestic 56-m Lady Candy, which has her interiors revised and maximised. Also, the full-beam owner’s suite is now on the upper deck aft to take advantage of the 180-degree panorama over the private aft deck. Princess Yachts will be showcasing Project 31@50, the return of the first-ever model to be built by the brand, which has undergone unique restoration in celebration of the company’s 50th anniversary.
4. Tasty treats
On April 10, Audra Morrice, one of the judges on MasterChef Asia, will host a cook-off demonstration on the Esplanade. Stop by to stand a chance to win a signed copy of her new cookbook. And if the heat takes its toll, head to Momolato and sample its special SYS lolly.
5. Fast cars
The Singapore Yacht Show epitomises the luxury lifestyle and it doesn’t just stop at toys for the water. The Esplanade will also play host to 20 of Lamborghini’s fastest cars from 1-4pm on April 10.
6. Fashion’s finest
Appealing also to the fashion-forward, the Esplanade will see runway shows from exclusive brands such as Wang Meng and Jog Swimwear on April 9 for an hour, starting at 5pm.
