Founder and Chief Executive
An early dotcom entrepreneur, Satinder Garcha is today better known for developing luxury landed homes on Sentosa Cove and Good Class Bungalows. More recently, his Elevation Development has turned its focus to luxury boutique hotels in Singapore and Chile. Over the last two and a half years, Garcha has acquired four properties — the old City Hotel in a historic part of Santiago, Chile and three hotels in Singapore: The 49-room Berjaya Hotel in Duxton Road, a row of six shophouses in Little India and Murray Terrace. He has also set up a hotel management company Garcha Hotels, which is separate from the assets he owns, and may in the future also manage hotels owned by others. The self-made millionaire is listed 46th on Forbes 2013 list of Singapore's 50 Richest with an estimated net worth of US$395 million. Garcha made first fortune in Silicon Valley when he co-founded people.com with his roommate and then sold it at height of dotcom bubble in 2000.
