Part of a couple looking to tie the knot? Book your dream wedding at the Ritz-Carlton Legacy Wedding Showcase at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore. To be held on June 14, the one-day event will see the hotel's Grand Gallery and Grand Ballroom transformed into dreamy wedding sets that highlight the hotel's extensive offerings, craftsmanship and services by their wedding consultants in creating bespoke experiences.
“Most couples these days do their research beforehand and know what they want exactly for their wedding. We can help them achieve that. For instance, we've noticed that the current trend is to have more smaller-scale but still elegant wedding dinner parties. We are able to adapt to that by providing versatility of space — The Grand Ballroom can be transformed to make it a more intimate space for 150-300 guests,” says Alicia Lee, Director of Catering for the hotel.
Besides celebrating wedded bliss, the event also pays homage to Singapore's Golden Jubilee this year and its rich kaleidoscope of cultures. As such, the Grand Gallery will be converted into an old-world foyer infused with colonial vibes, while The Grand Ballroom will be adorned in four cultural themes: Indian, Chinese, Peranakan and Western. Any one of these decorative themes may be chosen by couples for their own wedding celebrations.
Another highlight of the Ritz-Carlton Legacy Wedding Showcase is a bridal runway show choreographed by fashion and lifestyle event producer, Daniel Boey. The runway collection will be filled with haute couture wedding gowns, evening wear and suits created by well-known local fashion designers Francis Cheong, Frederick Lee, Vaughn Tan and Leslie Chia of Pimabs. Inspiration for the clothes stem from diverse sources, spanning local architecture to flowers. Guests will also be treated to a live performance by Kewei Tay, a local singer-songwriter, and an afternoon tea buffet comprised of authentic local delights.
