SMOKIN’ PERFORMANCE

Supporters of the Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children (HKSPC) gathered at The Langham, Hong Kong on October 19 for a wine dinner that raised funds for the charity's various initiatives. Edward Cheng, Victor Cha and KS Lo kicked off the proceedings by taking to the stage and performing a couple of classic songs while the audience pledged donations to show their support. After a short break to rest their voices (and enjoy the starter), Cheng and Cha returned to the front for a rendition of “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes”, which raised another $180,000 for the cause. Money was also raised through a silent auction and a “guess the dance” game in which a team of professional dancers demonstrated their moves to the crowd. Fortunately the audience was up to the task, and successfully named the tango, the can-can and the jive, among others.
