It’s A Hit

Known as the premier LGPA women's golf event in Asia, the eighth annual HSBC Women's Champions was launched with an exciting array of activities. Before the actual tournament (where Inbee Park eventually beat world number one Lydia Ko to claim the title), eight golfers swapped the fairway for the runway to model Shanghai Tang's Spring/Summer 2015 collection. Among them were Park, Ko, Michelle Wie, and defending champion Paula Creamer. New Zealander Ko, 17, was thrilled yet nervous before her debut catwalk, saying: “I never really thought I would be involved in a fashion show but it's definitely a new experience I'm looking forward to.” Apart from the fashion event, the Sponsor's Golf Day saw invited guests play a round at Sentosa Golf Club's Serapong course, the venue of the championship. Guests also enjoyed all the amenities of the HSBC Interactive Village, which had a golf simulator and bunker and long putt challenges. The last was modelled after the dramatic eagle putt Creamer sank to win the previous year's tournament.
