Dedicated To The Decadents

Michelin-starred chef Jeff Ramsey’s latest pop-up, Sushi Babe, entails a classy and exciting gastronomic experience in the hearts of Kuala Lumpur from 17 November to 14 December 2016

If you know Babe restaurant, you would know who is chef Jeff Ramsey and his signature style of ‘Japas’ – a Japanese-accented tapas. A leading innovator in the city’s food scene, this Michelin-starred chef is introducing his newest dining concept for two month in the hearts of Kuala Lumpur (from 17 November to 14 December 2016 to be exact).

Centrally located at the upstairs private dining enclave of The Apartment KLCC, Sushi Babe will be an amalgamation of traditional sushi-making techniques with modernised details and twists. Although Sushi Babe is just a temporary pop-up, you can rest assured that elements of playfulness, vigour and refreshing energy that have become synonymous with Babe will be present.

“Our concept here is simple: respect and re-invention. We aim to serve you well-crafted fish and seafood dishes that are an homage to my roots as a trained Sushi chef. I believe that the pureness and integrity of well-sourced ingredients must be respected,” shares chef Ramsey.

Meanwhile, at Clearwater in Damansara Heights, the original home for Babe will be undergoing a transformation, expected to be unveiled by year-end. There will be a new menu concept introduced to go hand in hand with the restaurant’s refreshed ambience. Babe’s signature Japas will be complemented by inventive, new dishes to inspire the taste buds in what will be a more elevated dining experience.
