Brought to you by the same folks who run Huckleberry Food & Fare, Huckleberry After Dark, Mezze and Skullduggery, Birch has carved a name for itself as the city’s latest trendy brunch spot. With a full reservation list since its opening in July, Birch takes its dining experience up a notch by opening its doors for dinner six days a week, Monday to Saturday.

The interior bears Huckleberry Group’s unmistakably eclectic aesthetic accentuated by vintage textures, exposed bricks, distressed wood panels elevated with opulent gold accents and white marble counters. As you walk into the establishment, you’ll be greeted by the scent of freshly baked pastries, cakes and tarts from Huckleberry’s very own bakery team. But the centre of attraction lies within the moss and plant covered bar where creative botanical cocktails push the boundaries of the city’s burgeoning bar culture.

By day, the cool casual eatery is a haven for brunch enthusiasts who can’t get enough of its plush greenhouse setting and all-day brunch staples. When night falls, the establishment transforms into a sleek cocktail bar and modern dining venue that oozes a seductive charm, drawing in a steady throng of white-collar workers looking to let off some steam and curious brunchers alike. While the day menu boasts refined comfort food, the dinner menu which took six months to develop offers modern dining at its best, highlighting a contemporary twist on Latin, Nikkei, Neo-Asian cuisines and cooking techniques. The very heart of Birch’s honest cooking is fuelled by a state-of-the-art Josper oven, resulting in the smoky flavours of the dishes while retaining its moisture.

Embracing the spirit of the tapas dining experience where the robust dishes are shared around good company, some of Birch’s star dishes include the hearty Pit Bean Stew and Triple Chilli Con Carne, Stuffed Jalapeño Poppers which is always a staple party dish, Beef Marmalade topped with pickled cucumbers, the unassuming Corn Bread served with truffle honey butter and Vermicelli Paella, an Asian take on the Spanish traditional paella dish.
