Six Celebrity Pets More Stylish Than You

A guide to must-follow cuddly companions on Instagram, from Lady Gaga’s pup Asia to Grace Coddington’s cool cat Pumpkin.

Jimmy Choo

Turning 30 started off a little gloomy for Brazilian artist Rafael Mantesso, whose wife had just left him with nothing but an all-white, empty apartment and his precious English bull terrier, Jimmy Choo – named after his ex-wife’s favourite shoe designer. With only Jimmy as company, Mantesso began trotting around his home, filling every blank space with dozens of whimsical illustrations, and snapping photos of his best friend positioned alongside the clever artworks. The result? An artistic partnership with Jimmy Choo’s Creative Director, Sandra Choi, in launching a collection last year that included tote bags, pouches, purses and phone cases. Today, Jimmy continues to shine in the spotlight with even more hilarious images, all captured on his owner’s Instagram.

Neville Jacobs

Have you been cast in a main role for a short film? Do you have a book that chronicles your entire life? Are you besties with modelling sensation Kendall Jenner? Neville Jacobs, another English bull terrier, can tick all three categories with no shame. Besides parading his celebrity life on Instagram and Snapchat, Neville is also busy promoting animal rights. Last year, he and his dad – you guessed it, designer Marc Jacobs – teamed up with the Sato Project to raise awareness of abused and abandoned dogs from Puerto Rico. In order to raise fund for our four-legged friends, Jacobs (Marc, not Neville) designed a tee in which all proceeds were then donated to the charity. How sweet!

How often do you hear about a cat who’s earned €3 million from a business deal? It all sounds a little too unbelievable, until you hear about the glamorous life of Choupette. The daughter of legendary Karl Lagerfeld, Choupette is a business-savvy cat with a legion of over 85,000 adoring fans on Instagram. A lover of antique lace and Colette shopping bags, Choupette has been featured in several editorial photo shoots, released a book about her life as the most pampered feline in the world, and collaborated with Shu Uemura in launching a capsule make-up collection, whimsically titled Shupette. However, sometimes she needs a break from working so hard, so you can often find her being groomed by two French maids.

Asia Kinney

This trendy French bulldog began making a name for herself in 2014 when she popped up in one of her celebrity parent’s Instagram photos. In fact, you’ve probably seen her before if you’re a fan of pop singer Lady Gaga. Since the pooch’s debut, Asia Kinney has launched her very own Instagram account full of sassy selfies and voguish accessories. She also starred in a huge advertising campaign for Coach, alongside other famous four-legged cuties like Toulouse and Frankie, who are owned by Ariana Grande and Miranda Kerr respectively. The most exciting news, however, is Gaga’s upcoming pet product line, which is inspired by Asia herself. Although no date has been confirmed, expect a range of organic pet food and an entire line of fashionable apparel, toys and accessories.

Shiba Inu Bodhi, better known as Menswear Dog, is no ordinary family canine. For starters he’s got almost 300,000 followers on Instagram, owns a style blog and is the author of his first book, titled The New Classics, which basically teaches you how to dress like the most stylish man. We know what you’re thinking: how did it all start? In early 2013, Bodhi’s parents David Fung and Yena Kim began dressing him in the chicest ensembles and sharing his #ootd images to the online world. Instantly, his handsome smize and charming portraits began attracting the biggies of the fashion industry, landing him impressive contracts with brands like Coach, Ted Baker, American Apparel and more. He updates regularly, so don’t forget to follow him to stay on trend.

This Persian kitten named Pumpkin belongs to Grace Coddington, the creative director at large of American Vogue magazine. With a mother that’s one of the most powerful fashionistas in the industry, it’s no wonder how successful this fluffball has become. Pumpkin rose to fame when he began modelling for Coddington’s drawings, illustrations that were channeled into a limited-edition accessories line with then-Balenciaga designer Nicholas Ghesquiere.  The Pumpkin line features a canvas tote and two scarves, covered in drawings of the cat wearing the most iconic Balenciaga looks from the past decade. Like any other generous star, Pumpkin also donated 20 percent of all proceeds to the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons. We love him already! He doesn’t have his own social-media account, but he does share one with his mum.
