Gucci Fall/Winter 2017/2018 Campaign

Gucci heads to outer space with their latest Fall/Winter 2017/2018 advertising campaign, embarking on an adventure of retro-futurist settings dreamed up by Creative Director Alessandro Michele, and shot by Glen Luchford.

Inspired by the sci-fi genre of the 1950s and 1960s, most particularly the iconic television program of the time, Star Trek: The Original Series, which starred the beloved Captain James T Kirk and First Officer Spock, played by William Shatner and the late Leonard Nimoy, respectively.

The season’s collection is transported to a parallel universe, where human characters interact with extra-terrestrial creatures and dinosaurs on Earth during Gucci’s voyages to “space, the final frontier: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilisations, to boldly go where no man has gone before.”

First revealed on Gucci’s Instagram back in April through a series of videos intercepted from the farthest reaches of our solar system, the mixed cast of humanoids, aliens, robots and earthlings unite in surreal, psychedelic outer space landscapes, and trippy spaceship interiors of wild and fantastical compositions.
