Gucci debuts mural during New York Fashion Week

Gucci has announced a partnership with Colossal Media for a large-scale mural in New York City.

Gucci have revealed an outdoor mural in the heart of Soho on Lafayette Street between Prince St. and Spring St. in New York City. The mural is the product of a partnership between the brand and Colossal Media, a leader in hand painted outdoor advertising.

Emphasising the beauty and uniqueness of the lost art of hand painted outdoor advertising, the 2,500 square foot wall will display artwork from Jayde Fish. The San Francisco-Based illustrator was discovered by Creative Director Alessandro Michele through her work on Instagram, leading to a number of her other illustrations being featured in the Women’s Spring/Summer 2017 collection.

The illustration on the wall took 6 days to paint, and debuted on February 6th during New York Fashion Week, and will remain throughout March. Fish has also created a Snapchat geofilter that will be available in the vicinity of the artwork to celebrate the wall.
