Elsa Hosk rocked this year’s Dream Angels Fantasy Bra at the Victoria’s Secret runway show, and so can you where you please. It’s the first time Atelier Swarovski has partnered with the sexy lingerie brand to create the show’s main attraction. The annual Fantasy Bra is an honour for an Angel to adorn, and this year’s bra brings something new to the spotlight: sustainability.
That’s because the bra is made from Swarovski Created Diamonds which are grown in a lab yet possess the same optical, chemical and physical attributes as mined diamonds, in terms of hardness, brilliance and composition of 100% carbon. Meanwhile, the Swarovski Genuine Topaz is sourced from Brazil and Sri Lanka.
The 2018 Dream Angels Fantasy Bra is crafted with over 2,100 Swarovski Created Diamonds and responsibly sourced topaz, dressing the bra and body chain set alike. “We hope it provides a bold new vision of luxury – mixing glamour and innovative materials,” commented Nadja Swarovski, Member of the Swarovski Executive Board.
In its entirety, the bra is valued at USD 1 million, totalling 71.05 carats with the pear shape centre stone weighing in at 2.03 carats. It took four craftsman and 930 hours to create the bra. Elsa also wore an Atelier Swarovski by Christopher Kane necklace and bangles in crystal to complete the look.
It’s a first for both Atelier Swarovski and Elsa Hosk who made her Fantasy Bra debut. Past Angels who famously held the honour include Alessandra Ambrosio, Selita Ebanks, Gisele Bündchen, Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, and Adriana Lima; who retired from Victoria Secret after this year’s runway marked her 20 years of angel wings.
And for the very first time, we’ll all get to
walk down the runway live the fantasy for ourselves. A version of the Fantasy Bra made with Swarovski crystals goes on sale on 29 November. If you haven’t checked out the first ever lingerie store by Victoria Secret in Malaysia, this is as good a reason as it gets!
