Ezra Holdings managing director Lee has been the driving force behind the group's rapid growth in recent years, playing a key role in its transformation into a global player in subsea engineering and project management. Ezra's business continued to grow strongly under his stewardship in 2012, which began with a record US$1.6 billion backlog. For the financial year to September 2012, the Group posted a 76% jump in revenue to US$984.2 million, and a 62% increase in net profit to US$65 million. The new financial year from September 2012 has seen some significant wins including an ABB contract to install subsea power cables for the world's largest natural gas production platform — the Troll A platform in the North Sea. Other recent wins include contracts worth more than US$65 million for projects in the Gulf of Mexico and West Africa; and two contracts with major South Korean clients worth US$200 million.
