As CEO of Singbridge Corporate, Chong Phit Lian is at the forefront of Singapore's efforts to invest in, develop and manage integrated cities and sustainable urban solutions internationally. Appointed to the position two years ago, Chong brought with her more than 30 years of experience in operations, general management, business development and business restructuring, including as Jetstar Asia's first woman CEO. The airline company, which was in the red when Chong took the pilot seat in 2006, turned around rapidly under her management. Last year, Singbridge moved forward on a number of projects, including the setting up of a joint venture management company in the Sino-Singapore Jilin Food Zone, which will provide management and technical services for developing the food zone in China's Jilin province. Singbridge's other project, Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, also saw six MOUs signed by the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City Investment and Development Co, strengthening collaboration between Singapore and Guangdong in area such as intellectual property rights protection and R&D. Besides her work at Singbridge, Chong serves on the Board of Governors for Singapore Polytechnic.
