Guests of Prestige had the unique opportunity to explore the Royal Salute at a specially organised dinner with Darren Hosie is the Regional Mentoring Manager for Asia at Chivas Brothers and Royal Salute polo ambassador Malcolm Borwick.

Guests of Prestige had the unique opportunity to explore the Royal Salute at a specially organised dinner with Darren Hosie is the Regional Mentoring Manager for Asia at Chivas Brothers and Royal Salute polo ambassador Malcolm Borwick. The event entitled An Evening of Power & Grace took place at the Orchid Room, Majestic Hotel and was attended by Dato’ Chevy Beh, also an avid polo player, Michael Chan, CEO of Bloomberg Malaysia and Dato’ Tan Su Cheng, Managing Partner of PDI Design & Associates, among others. Pernod Ricard’s Marketing Director Emmanuel Dokhelar also graced the event.

The event began with a unique traditional Scottish toast conducted by Hosie, which involved the use of a “loving” cup, requiring each guest to fill the cup of the guest seated to his or her right.  The first course of the evening was the tian of snow crab with melon, mango salsa and lemongrass infused gazpacho which was paired with the Royal Salute Hundred Cask. Guests then had their main, pairing with the Royal Salute 21 year old and ending the evening was the sticky date pudding with butterscotch sauce, paired with a Royal Salute 38 year old.

Throughout the evening, guests were regaled with stories from both Hosie and Borwick who elaborated on the qualities of Royal Salute as well as the association between Royal Salute and the sport of polo.
