Cortina Watch celebrates its partnership with Patek Philippe by unveiling the largest Patek Philippe boutique in Southeast Asia at ION Orchard, Singapore. The opening ceremony is officiated by Jerome Pernici, Commercial and Marketing Director of Patek Philippe; Anthony Lim, CEO of Cortina Watch; Deepa Chatrath, General Manager of Geneva Master Time Marketing LLP; and Chris Chong, CEO of ION Orchard. An evening of relaxed refinement, honourable guests of both Patek Philippe and Cortina Watch are invited to enter the gleaming, chandelier-filled space that houses the brand’s most coveted timepieces as well as to witness the reopening of its grand boutique, which has quadrupled from its original size when it first opened in 2009.
“Singapore is a major market for the Stern family and this boutique will be the perfect showcase for Patek Philippe’s timepieces. We are proud of our 44 years of partnership with the Lim family, who have been instrumental in the development of our brand in Southeast Asia,” reveals Jerome Pernici, and he continues to thank each and every one of the guests for their boundless support on behalf of the 2,000 people who work for Patek Philippe in Switzerland. “Our clients are a source of inspiration and motivation, and it is always with you in mind that we constantly strive to improve all aspects of our offering,” says Pernici.
Adding on, Jeremy Lim shares the history of the boutique, which is the fruit of a relationship that spans over two generations. “It was started by Philippe Stern and Anthony Lim some 40 years ago and now, one together with Thierry Stern, Raymond Lim and myself who will upkeep and improve on for the next generation,” says Lim. “This relationship holds special meaning to the two families and it extends beyond a manufacturer and retailer relationship. It holds trust and mutual respect between the families and business,” notes Lim.
The highlight of the evening is an exclusive showcase of the label’s most celebrated calendar timepieces in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Annual Calendar, which made its first debut in Patek Philippe’s Ref. 5035 in Spring 1996 at Baselworld and was also named ‘Watch of the Year’ in by Swiss magazine Montres Passion in Autumn of the same year.
