Chinese Food Meets Champagne at Jia

Jia at Shangri-la Hotel Jakarta presents a Chinese pairing dinner, in partnership with Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte

Shangri-la Hotel Jakarta celebrates contemporary Chinese food at its newly rebranded restaurant Jia, with a special champagne pairing dinner. Held in partnership with Centre Vinicole – Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte, the world’s oldest union for champagne producers, the exclusive dinner will take place on April 21.

The hotel’s Chinese Chef, Christopher Chai, will be a four-course menu to be paired with selected range from Nicolas Feuillatte. Naturally, Jia’s signature duck dishes will be the star of the menu. The dinner will start with Roasted Duck with Fruit Salad and Crispy Roasted Duck Spring Roll in Spicy Sauce paired with NV Nicolas Feuillatte Reserve Brut (France). The second course is Braised Four Treasure Soup with Roasted Shredded Duck.

Chinese Chef Christopher Chai

The main course sees a pairing of Signature Peking Duck, with the crispy duck skin served in Chinese pancakes and paired with NV Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Rose (France). The fair continues with Braised E-Fu Noodles and Wild Mushroom with Shredded Roasted Duck and Black Truffle Paste paired with Nicolas Feuillatte Cuvee Palmes d’Or Brut Millesime (France, 2004).

The dinner concludes with Praline Bavarois and Passion fruit Coulis served with Canella of Bourbon Vanilla Ice Cream paired with Nicolas Feuillatte Palmes d’Or Millesime Rose (2005).
