Code Coco: Tribute to Coco Chanel

One of the highlights of the recent Paris Fashion Week was when Chanel presented its new timepiece, Code Coco. A tribute to a story, style and look, the watch carries the ever-renewing codes of the house, while still exuding its signature style.

The watch is inspired by the clasp of Chanel’s 2.55 bag, created by Mademoiselle Chanel in February 1955. The flexible steel strap also features the house’s iconic quilted motif—an emblem of the French label, now frequently seen in its ready-to-wear collections, handbags and jewellery.

The timepiece includes a 38.1 by 21.5 mm black lacquered dial with high precision quartz movement sitting underneath. A diamond, Mademoiselle Chanel’s favourite gemstone, also subtly shines on the black dial of the watch. Moreover, the dial features a rotating metal bar which can be set in two positions: one that exposes the time and another that conceals it.

Code Coco comes in plain stainless steel with single .05 carat diamond or a stainless steel bezel set with 52 brilliant cut diamonds.
