Morpheus hotel, Cotai, Macau

Designed by the late Dame Zaha Hadid, the futuristic 40-storey, 772-room Morpheus hotel is the latest component of the massive City of Dreams entertainment complex to open in Cotai, Macau. The complex is being created in collaboration with top chef Alain Ducasse, famed patissier Pierre Hermé and spectacular show maker Franco Dragone. As well as Morpheus, City of Dreams will include three other hotels: Nüwa, Grand Hyatt Macau and The Libertine. Morpheus stands out with its exoskeleton steel frame. Each of the 181 suites has been outfitted with premium furnishings from leading designers and cutting edge technology. Nine sumptuous villas offer 24/7 butler service; six connect to private salons, while three boast private interior pools. Panoramic views can be enjoyed at Chinese restaurant Yí on the 21st floor Sky Bridge. Other attractions include Art on 23, a modern art collection, the Spa and a rooftop sky pool.

Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong

Kerry Hotel in Hong Kong is offering “A Suite Retreat” package. Stay for a minimum of two consecutive nights in a 143sqm Executive Sea View Suite and get 50 percent off for a second room (excluding Specialty and Presidential suites) for the same period of stay. The Executive Sea View Suite is a separate one bedroom suite with separate sitting room and kitchenette with views of Victoria Harbour. Facilities include all-day refreshments, evening cocktails, late checkout and business lounge.

The Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts – Shanghai

The newest addition to The Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts portfolio has opened in Shanghai. Bvlgari Shanghai combines a 48-storey tower and the restored Chamber of Commerce building, dating from 1916 and surrounded by gardens. Designed by Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, the hotel offers 82 rooms, including 19 suites. Il Bar, Il Ristorante Niko Romito and La Terrazza rooftop restaurant are among the attractions. Also, there’s the 2,000 sqm Spa & Retreats with a 25-metre indoor heated pool, eight treatment rooms and Workshop Gymnasium. Il Cioccolato is a shop to be found on the ground floor.

Renaissane Paris Vendome Hotel – Paris

After undergoing a major renovation led by Didier Gomez, Renaissance Paris Vendome Hotel has reopened its doors. The new look is inspired by the fashion designers and jewellers that have their salons in the neighbourhood. Contrasting 18th-century style with contemporary design, it conveys a softness and elegance reflective of today’s Parisian style. The 97 rooms feature striking art pieces and there’s a stylish cocktail bar, Balagan, designed by Dorothée Meilichzon.

InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort – Vietnam

InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort has opened in Vietnam, offering 459 guestrooms, suites and villas. Each room features a walk-in shower, floor-to-ceiling windows and balcony. There are six dining options, including Ink, 360 created by Ashley Sutton, fine-dining restaurant Lava, and Sora & Umi, offering Japanese and Vietnamese cuisine. The 250 sq m Planet Trekkers children’s club is another attraction. Opening room rates start at about US$280++.
