Jennifer Lawrence puts on her sophisticated hat for Dior’s fall campaign. The Hunger Games star, notorious for her candid, goofy attitude off-screen, channels her inner ice queen as she poses for the camera of Patrick Demarchelier in a New York studio. The new campaign highlights the seasonal rendition of Diorever and Diorama totes, in tufted velours-embroidered Dior Oblique canvas, metalised leather and different fall hues.
Lawrence was first named the face of Dior in 2012, a year after the appointment of Raf Simons as creative director of the storied house. Her appointment mirrors the younger, more contemporary direction that Dior takes. The house has extended its contract with the actress for the next three years, following departure of Simons and appointment of Maria Grazia Chiuri.
“Like everyone else, I first discovered Jennifer Lawrence in the roles she played in action movies,” said Raf Simons in 2012. “I was, of course, struck by her incredible on-screen presence in these blockbuster films, but also impressed by her powerful interpretations of subtler more rounded characters. Her youth and her classic beauty, but also her force of character and the complexity she’s capable of embodying at such a young age, are, for me, both unique and very moving.”
On another note, Lawrence has also been named the highest-paid actress in 2016. She bags $46 million this year alone, most of it from blockbuster franchises Hunger Games and X-Men.
