Michael Kors Wants to Dress The Queen

In the latest episode of web-series “Kors Commute”, designer Michael Kors admits that he dreams to dress Queen Elizabeth

“Which celebrity would you still like to dress?”

“Queen Elizabeth.”

That is a snippet of a rapid fire Q&A between Michael Kors and InStyle’s Laura Brown. Happening inside a limo in the midst of New York Fashion Week, the two are stars of the latest episode of Kors Commute. Hosted by the jet-setting designer himself, always in his signature aviator shade, Kors Commute is a mini web-series featuring various industry insiders who “hitch a ride” from Kors. Previous figures who have been featured include Nina Garcia (previously with Marie Claire, and has just been appointed as new Elle Editor-in-Chief) and Carolyn Murphy (actress and model). The show first launched during SS18 fashion week, and has now returned for its second season.

The series sees Kors get candid about his glamorous, also not-so-glamorous, moments. The latter includes talking to Brown about being called an “Orange Oompa Loompa” on Saturday Night Live. The reason being his “too bronze” makeup on the week’s Project Runway episode (where Kors formerly a judge).

In turn, Kors asks Brown questions surrounding her editor life. “Teleportation” is a superpower Brown wishes to have during fashion week. While most editors wished the same, Brown’s specifically asked for a teleporter with a makeup retoucher installed to it.
