The city’s style enthusiasts gathered for Lanvin’s Femme Eté 2017 show, held on Thursday, April 27 at Sofia at the Gunawarman. Arriving guests were treated with French-inspired delicacies prepared by the restaurant.
The collection was Bouchra Jarrar’s debut as Lanvin’s new Creative Director. Her experience as a designer with an eye for female-flattering tailoring, show in the collection, which explores “the paths of sensuality and intimacy”.
The clothes, made using silk chiffon, silk georgette and satin, are built around the body, unveiling and veiling one’s silhouette. Key pieces of the collection include the Lavallière dress, Perfecto jacket and jewelled shoes. After the show, guests mingled over good tunes spin by DJ Jeremy Jay.
