You’ve seen the red carpet, the gala… and now, take cues on how to dress the night away!
To celebrate the festive season and the end of the 2017, Ronald Liem threw a marvelous party. The 2017 Prestige Gala – Christmas Edition was a glamorous occasion graced by Jakarta’s most admired high-society ladies and gentlemen, esteemed entrepreneurs, A-list celebrities and other in uential gures.
More than 200 of the city’s who’s brought out their best looks for the party. Spectacular designer dresses were spotted all across the red carpet. As Ronald welcomed each of his distinguished guests to the high-society a air of the year, the ladies certainly did not disappoint with their choices of magni cent out ts.
The big night called for fashion drama, in the form of spectacular detailing. Leeyen Widjaja shone brightly in a turquoise Ellie Saab gown. The cut of the dress was de nitely a showstopper. Beautiful muse Angel Susinto was a vision in an artistic white gown with unique hand-painted accents, designed by Holly Fowler. Also stunning in white was the statuesque Widi Wardhana, who wore a white number with hexagonal plexiglass embellishments designed by our It Designer of 2017, Hian Tjen.
Didit Hediprasetyo was a popular gure that night, with Cindy Angelina, Cathy Sharon, Julie Estelle and Winda Malika Siregar opting for structural dresses by the Paris-based couturier. Jasmine Prasetio sported a black frock with a metallic top by Dries Van Noten. Meanwhile, delicate hues were the selections of Agnes Susinto, in Dior, and Rachel Lakhiani, in Gauri & Nainika.
Gowns with plunging neckline were another popular choice for the night. The sexy statement was seen on Irna Mareta, as she was ethereal in Lanvin, featuring a mini Lady Dior bag that suited her lovely personality. Juliana Tanoyo was as beautiful as ever in a see- through Alexander Wang white dress.
Red was the dominant colour of the night, suiting the Christmas theme. Finna Huang was stunning in an embroidered Marchesa number with a high slit and Sherly Worth looked fabulous in Tadashi Shoji. The Prestige It List Fashion Icon of 2017, Selly Wilson, also opted for red, appearing in a ravishing Lanvin dress. She completed her sensational look with a chic Kotur clutch.
Indonesian designers shone through thanks to their intricate detailing work. Kelly Tandiono’s Didi Budiardjo number was in full skirt and was truly made to wow the red-carpet with its owery motifs and two-tone embroidery. Yvonne Yuen showed o her best in a Je ry Tan creation featuring sparkly beadings that certainly made the dress stand out from the crowd. Finally, no mention of Indonesian couture
is complete without putting the great Biyan in the picture. Worn by Asri Adityawardhana, the designer’s tunic dress was a compelling statement in its modesty.
As always, for fashionistas the annual Prestige Gala was truly a night to remember!
