This one is for the American football fans.
National Football League player Tom Brady of the New England Patriots has collaborated with British car marque Aston Martin to produce a special edition Vanquish S Volante “Tom Brady Signature Edition”. The super GT car, fitted with a six-litre naturally aspirated V12 powertrain, boasts a maximum output of 580bhp.
Seems like Aston Martin is leaving its footprint in various sectors, having announced its decision to enter real estate earlier this month too.
This particular Vanquish S Volante has been created by Aston Martin’s “Q by Aston Martin – Commission”, a new service revealed at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show that invites customers to collaborate personally with the brand’s design team to commission a truly bespoke sports car. The Tom Brady Signature Edition Vanquish S Volante is decked in Ultramarine Black for its exterior with bold Dark Knight leather interiors. Behind its One-77 colour-keyed steering wheel, the paddle shifts come in California Poppy leather.
Additionally, each car bears Tom Brady’s s signature on the sill plates and features the “TB12” logo on a fender badge, embossed on the headrests and as a pull tab in the rear of the car, highlighted again in California Poppy.
Just how many of these stunning convertibles will be released? Only 12 units will be available worldwide, with first examples to be delivered in Q1 2018.
“Going through the process of curating a unique Aston Martin has been fascinating,” says Tom Brady. “We started with a blank canvas and finished with this beautiful car. It’s been great to see it all come to fruition and I’m proud to share a name with it.”
Brady worked closely on this project with Aston Martin Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman who says: “Tom chose the Vanquish S as he recognises natural athletic performance when he sees it. He has curated a beautiful, tailor-made car that will excite its owners for many years to come.”
