Carolina Herrera is a pioneer in power dressing, with her signature crisp white shirt and a divine European-style hair. Her new scent, Good Girl, draws from her iconic charisma.
Her presence is described as “supremely elegant, daringly audacious”. Yet, there is a duality to her persona – the good and bad sides that is encapsulated in a stiletto-shaped bottle.
Karlie Kloss stars as the “good girl”, lending her enviable figure to the campaign that shows her strolling through Manhattan amid those who “want a piece of her, but she knows where to be, what to do and who to meet”. The campaign is shot by Mario Testino.
“I loved the idea of the ‘Good Girl/Bad Girl’ duality from the beginning,” says Kloss. “Being able to explore those two aspects of the woman was what first interested me about this project. I think it’s real, and it’s a fun way to express femininity. Because no woman is just plainly good or bad, the idea is that we can be both.”
Master perfumer Louis Turner is behind the scent that she describes as one for “femme fatale”. It is one that provides a feeling of wearing stilettos even when you’re not. The main notes are jasmine and tonka bean, mixed with “a non-traditional Tuberose” that gives the scent its innovative side.
Good Girl will be available in Indonesia starting November.
