Wildlife Veterinarian & Conservationist
Originally from Surin, Dr Patarapol “Lotter” Maneeorn’s dream when he was a veterinary student at Mahanakorn University of Technology was to return to his hometown and use his knowledge to treat the many elephants that live there. But after graduation, he attended a seminar on how to cure a variety of wildlife, which piqued his interest in other animals. His advocacy and vocal support of wildlife is well-received by the public, and did not go unnoticed by the government. He was appointed Wildlife Veterinarian at Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, and is often the go-to for famous cases of animal abuse or injury.
