Luxury Watchmaker Parmigiani’s Latest Release

The striking Bugatti Aérolithe Performance takes pole position among Parmigiani Fleurier’s collections.

With both embracing engineering excellence, technical innovation and cutting-edge design, the worlds of luxury watchmaking and high-performance motorcars enjoy an intense bond. Swiss manufacture Parmigiani Fleurier and French hypercar marque Bugatti first formed a creative partnership in 2001, and highlights of the resulting Bugatti collection of haute horlogerie timepieces have included the daring Bugatti Super Sport and the idiosyncratic Bugatti Mythe, among others.

Now, inspired by the pioneering Bugatti Type 57 Aérolithe motorcar of 1935, comes the high-tech Bugatti Aérolithe Performance, an extraordinary
fusion of classic good looks and bold innovation that features a rugged case forged entirely from titanium, and employing laser technology to apply finishes beyond the capability of conventional machining. As with any high-performance supercar, what’s under the engine cover is what really counts, and the new timepiece is powered by Parmigiani Fleurier’s proprietary PF335 movement, which boasts a flyback chronograph module.

The thrilling world of high-speed pursuits is unmistakable in the Bugatti Aérolithe Performance’s striking visual details, from the double tachymeter – which has km/h indications in red and mph in blue, the signature colours of Bugatti – to the dial, strap and deployant buckle that are textured with the embossed pattern of the car-manufacturer’s seats. The timepiece’s lugs feature the distinctive dorsal seam of the Bugatti Type 57 Aérolithe, serving to keep alive a legend of automotive history in the modern era.

Toric Chronometer

With an elegant aesthetic inspired by the architecture of Ancient Greece, the new Toric Chronometer blends innovation and high culture in a single masterpiece of fine horology, all the while retaining the signature visual codes of Parmigiani Fleurier’s venerable and cherished Toric collection.

The sophisticated timepiece’s elongated case, forged from white or red gold, features gracefully curved and streamlined contours. The understated dial is available in black opaline or a delicate white-grained version, and brought to life by two slender javelin-style hands, Arabic numerals, a date indicator and a subtle circumference-hugging minute track. The Toric Chronometer is finished with a quietly luxurious black alligator strap.
