At Rue Gembon, friends Joyce Lam and Niki Allworth design each piece with the modern, independent woman in mind. As a result, the site is a local Hong Kong gem in itself. Everything from understated items, such as the Zaidee Silver Necklace, to statement pieces, such as the Simone Collar and Sabine Earcuff, can be found on the site. Check out the ’90s-inspired chokers for some old school inspiration.
Singapore’s only jade designer, Choo Yilin, doesn’t yet have a shop in Hong Kong – but there’s plenty available on her online store! The brand gives jade an updated twist by converting traditional bangles and rings into pieces of art with oversized stones. The result is feminine and dainty jewellery that will no doubt stand the test of time. Due to the nature of the Type A jadeite used, the color of each piece varies significantly, making each unique.
Twelve.Two by The9thMuse
Along with stocking pieces by other designers, online jewellery boutique The9thMuse also has its own label, Twelve.Two. Created by the site’s co-founders Charlotte Hwang and Jing Zhang, Twelve. Two offers a mix of designs that are cool and understated. Twelve. Two’s Threader earrings are dainty without being overly feminine, and the line’s subtle rings will fuel ring-stacking additions. Visit The9thMuse online, or at their bricks-and-mortar location on Lyndhurst Terrace Central.
Fans of bold jewellery will fall in love with Carrie K‘s Reborn Large Safety Pin Paved Diamond Ring, which is an immediate conversation starter. The site also carries cufflinks and leather bracelets for men. Carrie K’s stylish Morse Bling collection features letters of the alphabet in Morse code – we recommend wearing a letter on each finger or stacking them up to form words. Another favourite of ours is the made-to-order Fearless Ring, which was inspired by the human spine.
