Prestige Hong Kong launches As Told: The Very Best In Life, starring Karen Mok

The inaugural edition of this book, featuring recommendations from celebrities all over the world, launches this week.

Where does Pierre Herme go to eat in Paris? What is Andre Fu’s favourite hotel hangout? Which street-food stall does Gaggan Anand frequent after he finishes work at Asia’s number-one restaurant? And which facialist does Charlotte Tillbury call for an emergency skin fix?

All these questions, and more, are answered in the inaugural edition of As Told: The Very Best in Life, which hits newsstands this week. The cover features the Hong Kong star with an international presence, Karen Mok, who is photographed at one of her favourite haunts, the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong.

Besides talking to Mok, we jet around the world collecting recommendations from designers, chefs, architects, stylists and bon vivants in general. We get billionaire African art collector Jean Pigozzi’s go-to dinner-party anecdote (hint: it involves the renegade breast of a certain Kardashian), Roksanda Ilincic’s favourite lipstick shade, celebrity chef and sneakerhead Dan Hong’s favourite shoe release of the year and more. Local luminaries also make the cut, from restaurateur Bonnae Gokson to G.O.D founder Douglas Young to chef May Chow.
